We interupt this blog for the following announcement:

It’s book signing time again. That means it’s time for me to beg friends, strangers, and potential stalkers to come to the Barnes and Noble at Chandler Fashion Mall so that I look like I have a following. Tomorrow, June 20th, 3:00.

Lisa McMann will be signing there too and since she is a NYT best seller she will no doubt have hordes of fans screaming, “Lisa! Lisa! Sign my book!!” (Okay, probably not–book readers don’t tend to be a wild group–but you know what I mean.) And I will be twiddling my thumbs and examining the table cloth.

I know how it goes. I’ve been through this before.

Here are a list of the mega selling authors I’ve done signings with:

Gary Paulson (Hatchet and a gazillion boy books)
Christopher Paul Curtis (two Newberys)
Barbara Park (Junie B Jones)
Stephenie Meyers (Twilight)
Brandon Mull (Fablehaven)
Shannon Hale (Newbery, Goose Girl Series)

I’d write more but frankly this is just a depressing list.

So come. Even if you have all my books. They make good gifts and Christmas is just six short months away. Besides, if you do I’ll come to your Tupperware party. See, it’s all good.

Now I just need to find and post a picture of Robert Pattinson so people will stop by this blog . .

I love your shameless fan plugs almost as much as I love your books, but while I would love a signed book, I don’t live in the right state. Dang!

Yeah, if only I could do siber signings, and hire someone who looks like Angelina Jolie to pretend to be me . . .

I love that you put the picture in to get people to come to your blog! Those search engines can either work for us, or against us, so why not stack the deck in our favor, right? LOL!

I see now that you’ve concluded that Orlando Bloom is a little “long in the tooth”, so you’ve moved on to younger, more tender, eye candy in an attempt to snag “drive-by readership”. I’ve finally gotten around to reading “Revenge…”. Does Chelsea pull it off? Does Rick end up in the corner in the fetal position? Inquiring minds want to know!

Just for old times sake — Orlando Bloom Orlando Bloom Orlando Bloom Orlando Bloom Orlando Bloom Orlando Bloom Orlando Bloom Orlando Bloom Orlando Bloom Orlando Bloom Orlando Bloom Orlando Bloom!

Don’t the Black-Eyed Peas sing “Gotta get that Bloom Bloom Bloom!”? 🙂

I’m so familiar with your, “come to my book signings!!! NOW!!!” technique that I can only aspire to emulate it in the event that I actually sell a ms. But I’ve seen you rock the house…you used a really big rock, but it seemed to work. I am fearful to inform you, however, that I will be unavailable tomorrow. Yes, I know the risks involved here, but I have little choice. I only hope I have enough of your events under my belt that I’ve earned one freebie and that I’ll get no puppy dog look or scathing glare…of which neither I could endure. 😉

I know that Lisa and you will have a marvelous time and sign lots of books. Wish I could be there.

    HEY!!

Actually I think we’re signing at different times — I’m scheduled for 6-8. 🙁 I kinda wish that we were signing together. Maybe they think we’d be naughty together or something.

    I can’t imagine that.

Good luck with your signing. Maybe someday I can say that I did a signing with Janette Rallison 😉 Sigh.

I’m so happy! I get to come! My 13 year old is really bummed. She has wanted to meet you for a long time now…She spent the last couple of months tearing through my ANWA collection and loves your books, Janette! She leaves for Girl’s camp at 7a.m. so I promised her I would get a book and have you sign it. See ya tomorrow!

hmmm, I came to this blog following a Robert Pattinson link.
ha ha snort. If I lived in Chandler, I not only would come to the signing, but I would round up a gaggle of healthy looking teens and bring them in too. Then you would look like the most popular author around.

If it makes you feel better I would fill up my gas tank and drive there to buy a book and get it signed…unfortunately the paychecks haven’t started rolling in…

I would love to come to your book signing! If only those pesky 2,000 some-odd miles didn’t get in the way. Once the Beloved Spouse Creature is through school, I will so be there. 😀

I hope it goes well. Maybe you should wear a large, purple hat and talk in Elvish. Hey, it might work.

    Good luck.

You are so funny! I love reading your posts. I would love to meet you someday as well! I already have two of your books, and am working on getting more. If you are ever in Salt Lake, I will definitely be there!:)

Janette, I’m so glad I had the chance to learn from you. It’s unfortunate, though, that instead of swooning when I think about Ben Barnes, apparently I have narcolepsy.
