In one minute: Why you should keep a journal
I love this freeze frame. It looks like my expression after my husband tells me that the dog has a stomach ailment–but no, I’m actually talking about why you should keep a journal.

Yeah! Big stacks of journals! I’m glad I’m not alone.
I’m not sure if I really want my posterity to read my journals … looking back at all the awkward crushes, times I was horribly mean (like when I told a guy I’d go to prom with him and then backed out to go with the cuter guy – yeah, still regret that one), or times when I just plain made stupid decisions. Maybe an “edited” version …
Love it! Especially the argument part 🙂
I’m going to post this on our YW blog, k? THANKS!
I started journal keeping three years ago. If I write small, my eighth will be filled by the end of the week. I took one look at your freeze frame and said, “That’s me in a few years.”
That’s AWESOME. 😀
I was terrified by that movie “The Vow”, and decided to keep a journal! You know, just in case i develop amnesia or something. 🙂

I need to start recording the parts where I “win”! Thanks.
Kathryn–great vlog. I’m not sure how often I’ll do it as it will require stuff like showering and putting on makeup. Until I get the next book written, I may not be that person for awhile.
Heather, you aren’t alone, and that’s a good thing!
Tiana, yes one of the things on my to do list is to create a personal history so I can give that to my posterity instead of my journals. Although on the other hand, it’s sort of nice to see how I’ve grown through the years. That’s what’s supposed to happen, right?
Taffy, hope your YW like it.
Eliza, all your journals just prove you’re a fascinating person!
Hannah, thanks!
Anonymous, the thing that really made me a journal writer was having my mother die when I was a child. I grew up hardly knowing anything about her. I wish she’d been an avid journal writer.
Jessie, you should definitely record those.
HAHA! WHY NOT?!?!? lol. you are too funny:))))) i have like 1200 journals in one year! hahahahaha! camping trips, school, and LIFE:DDDD hah please follow what2wear-kk.blogspot.com
KK, 1,200 journals? You win! You must lead an interesting life!
What I wear is usually my pajamas. Hey, I stay home and type most days, so why not?
That’s a lot of writing! I typed out my husbands mission journals (he had 6). He wrote nearly every day, or at least about every day. We made a book out of it and sent a copy to his parents and grandparents. I like that there is a digital copy out there, also, so if there IS a fire we don’t have to be worried about losing all that record.
I also typed out his great grandmother’s journal (she had 5). I felt like I got to know her quite a bit through them.
You are an awesome wife, Rachel. I imagine there is no better way to get to know a person than to read their journals. (which is why I’m a little afraid to let anyone read mine.)
